Khusi Limbu

Mr. Khusi Limbu is the visionary founder of the Dilmaya Memorial Foundation, dedicated to empowering rural communities in Nepal. As the Editor-in-Chief of Nepal Mamila, one of the most widely read online platforms among the Nepali diaspora, he utilises his extensive experience in media and social activism to raise awareness on critical social issues.

With over 20 years of professional experience in the military, private security industry, as well as in customer support and philanthropy, Khusi has developed a deep understanding of community needs. He has held various leadership roles in Nepali social organisations in the UK and Hong Kong, including Spokesperson (2015-2017) and General Secretary (2021-2023) of the Non-Resident Nepali Association UK, General Secretary of NEFIN UK (2018-2022), and Chairman of the Panchthar Tharpu Society UK. He is currently the General Secretary of Nepali Janasamparka Samiti (NPCC) Hong Kong.

Khusi holds a BSc (Honours) in Criminology from London South Bank University, an MSc in Sociology from the University of Surrey, and an LLM in Human Rights from the University of Hong Kong. His diverse educational background enhances his ability to address societal challenges effectively.

His commitment to making a difference is evident in his successful campaign for British Overseas nationals of Nepali origin under the British Nationality (Hong Kong) Act 1997, and in raising £25K to rebuild Sirise School in Nepal after the 2015 earthquakes.

Recognised with the Global Youth Leadership Award in 2021, Khusi engages over 60,000 followers through various media platforms. As the first in his family to pursue higher education, he inspires resilience and determination, aiming to create lasting positive change through the Dilmaya Memorial Foundation.
