Dilmaya Award Ceremony and Musical Night: Bridging Culture, Community and Philanthropy Altogether

Hong Kong, 20 April, 2025 – The Dilmaya Memorial Foundation hosted a grand #दिलमायासाँगीतिकसाँझ in Hong Kong to establish its endowment fund. The event took place on Sunday at the Blue Ocean Hall in Jordan, coinciding with the Easter holiday and the Nepali New Year.

The program was formally inaugurated by Mausam Imbung (Fulende Ko Bau), with the session chaired by the foundation’s president, Khusi Limbu. Notable guests included Yau Tsim Mong District Councillor Aruna Gurung as Chief Guest, along with Gokarna Dhakal, president of NRNA Hong Kong.

Founded in 2017 in the UK, the Dilmaya Memorial Foundation honours the memory of Dilmaya LingdanmTawa and works in Nepal across education, health, and community development sectors.
The evening began with a ceremonial lighting of lamps, followed by a moment of silence in memory of Late Dilmaya. The Foundation Advisor Janu Kambang Limbu officially welcomed attendees and highlighted the foundation’s commitment to pure community service.

During the event, six young talents were honoured for their contributions, including:
Junu Divya Raanaa: Excellence in Social Impact Through Literature Award 2025
Anoj Rokka: Journalism and Communication Award 2025
Chapeta Serma: Philanthropic Excellence Award 2025
Avishek Baral: Young Entrepreneurship Award 2025
Sakthim Yongya: Music Award 2025
Khushi Gurung: Community Engagement Award 2025
Awards were presented by President Khusi Limbu and Aruna Gurung, accompanied by ceremonial scarves and flower bookies.

The awards ceremony was facilitated by film director Yugal Pomo. Chief Guest Ms Gurung expressed her appreciation for the event, stating, “It’s wonderful to witness the achievements of those who continue to excel in business, literature, and journalism while contributing to our community.”
The musical evening featured performances by artists from Nepal, including singers Sunita Thegim, Dipa Suhang Limbu, and Badal Limbu, with Bhumika Limbu Phiyak serving as the MC. The audience enjoyed a variety of songs, including duets.
