About Us :

Established in 2017 in loving memory of the philanthropist Dilmaya Lingden Tawa (1949-2010), the DMF® is a registered charity in England and Wales. While the Foundation operates in Nepal and Hong Kong, it functions as a separate entity in each location due to jurisdictional reasons. Inspired by Dilmaya's dedication to helping others, despite never having the opportunity for formal education, we aim to uplift children at risk of never attending school, particularly those from underprivileged and marginalised communities in rural Nepal through targeted initiatives.

Our Missoin and Vision

Education Program

Empowering Future Generations We are committed to providing quality education to those in need. Our educational initiatives include building infrastructure, offering scholarships, providing tutoring, and implementing community engagement programs that encourage parental involvement, fostering a supportive learning environment.

Health Program

Promoting Well-Being Our Health Program aims to improve access to essential medical services and health education. We collaborate with local healthcare providers to ensure that families receive the care they need, enhancing the overall health of our community.

Sport

Fostering Team Spirit We promote physical activity and teamwork through various sports programs. By organising sports events and activities, we encourage community participation and healthy lifestyles while developing essential life skills. Our focus includes nurturing new talents, supporting existing athletes, and enhancing sporting activities within the community.

Arts and Heritage

Preserving Indigenous Arts and Culture Our Arts initiatives encourage creativity and self-expression among community members. We promote cultural preservation by celebrating traditional arts, fashion, and music, as well as conducting studies on indigenous communities that have historically been neglected by the state. Through art workshops, exhibitions, and cultural events, we showcase local talent, inspire creativity, and strengthen community bonds.
